In today´s world Christians are persecuted around the world whether it is India, Syria, Iraq or Afghanistan. Christians are one of the most vulnerable groups of people who are persecuted for their faith. What does Jesus Christ say about those persecute us?
Matthew 5:44 – But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you.
Romans 12:14 – Bless those who persecute you. Bless and do not curse.
Luke 6:35 – But, love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be the children of the Most High, because He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
As Christians we should not keep grudge against those who persecute us. Indeed they harm us, they hurt us, sometimes the damage is irrecoverable, sometimes we lose our family members but still what Bible says and what God says is that we should not hate them. We should still bless them; we should still forgive them because this is how we set a good example of being Christians. This is how we bring them closer to God showing them that how forgiving nature we have. It is difficult from human point of view to forgive those who hurt and persecute us but anyhow as Christians we should follow what God says. We cannot make our own rules and system. In conclusion those who hurt us are still loving for God. We cannot curse them. No matter what always follow the Word of God which says; forgive them.
